  • Hi Guys and Gals,

    Hello everybody , ive been having a look at your forums and found them to be so very positive and uplifting and just felt i had to be part of it.

    I tried the Atkins about 2003 and lost quite a lot of inches and i didnt go into ketosis at all, basically i took the majority of the principles and stuck with it and then i fell off the wagon with a thump , i didnt put the weight back really untill i had my last child in 2004 and i have really whacked it on this is the heaviest and unhappiest ive been in my entire life. I kid myself that im ok but inside im crying, i really do not like my outside, my insides are fine!! I have no health problems of any sort,,(according to the medical proffession) which ive been told is unsual because of my weight,, im 15 stone 8 pountd (218lb) and 5'7'.

    In november 2006 i dipped my toe in Atkins and lost a stone and at xmas i just went haywire my carbohydrate addiction really gripped me and im still working on myself out of it!

    I know what works for me, i know what my achilles heels are, i know where i want to be and it always comes back to Atkins,,but my downfall is organisation!! im tootling about that much i get 'starvin' real quick, get headache, shaky and reach for the first shop!

    But im pysching my self up..i can feel it in my bones, i will try and get a pic of me on here, once i can work out new phone,, your pictures are inspiring!

      Welcome! So happy to have you join us. I can relate to the heel problems (I had 6 surgeries for spurs in previous years) so I know the pain that it causes. The best thing to get yourself organized is to write out your meals, exercise routines and motivate yourself with positive thoughts and plans. You can do it, and having the support here with all the warm friendly people who want to see you succeed. Don't look back on past failures...make plans to succeed and you will make it happen!

            Look to the future and take things a day at a time... those days soon mount up and you'll be fitter, more energised and trimmer before you know it.
