Hi, I am hothead- named more for my hair, although being a redhead, I also have a temper. I have two girls who are 11 and 9 and have been carrying around more "baby" weight than I wanted to admit for some time. I am at 190 right now, after having been at 200 and on my 7th day of Atkins. I am enjoying the diet and this WOL, but when my weight goes down, I start becoming uncomfortable with the attention it gets and then I rocket back up. I don't know if anyone else is like that.
I had a splurge today, but have been really good up till now, we shall see what the scales say next week. I appreciate the support you offer and am hoping to get some myself so that I don't go back up to my "comfort food" weight after a little success.
I am also just coming out of a divorce and working my way through that has been tough on my body. I am really ready to start wearing smaller clothes. Other diets have worked short term for me in the past, but I have never managed to get below 175 since I was in my late 20's. Hoping to see that number soon, because if I can break that barrier, I will know that I am really on my way- so I guess that's my mini-goal. My real goal is 150.
