  • Word to your n00bie.

Hi everyone! I've been posting in the induction forum alot, and thought I would introduce myself properly.

Hi! Im Michelle, and I'm 21.

I've done Atkins before, and I'm doing it again, with more willpower and motivation this time.

I'm an artist, a Tori Amos fan, a student, a former musician, an avid reader, a writer of contemporary paranormal romance, and a natural redhead.

I have a billion freckles, and I randomly list facts about myself in forums. I wear a size 9 1/2 shoe, or a 10 in heels, and an 8 in Converse. I wear alot of black, but not because of any sort of style affiliation, but because it makes the red stand out in my hair, and because it hides my imperfections better than electric yellow.

I'm a huge fan of emoticons, and I have had 20 piercings and 2 tattoos. I can speak a small amount of french, and I've been in college for 2 years.

I live in Alabama, but I'm a left-wing liberal, and I love to wear kitty ears on every day except Halloween, though I rarely wear them anymore because my newest ear piercing is still tender, and I lost my favorite pair. (sad)

I weigh alot, but I weigh alot less now than I did last year, and I think I'm finally motivated to do something about it, because of a boy. An evil boy. I'm not doing it to be what he wants me to be, but because I want to prove to him, and myself mostly, that I don't have to conform to those standards he set me at, which were negative and downright cruel. I'm tired of being stepped on because I'm fat, because I don't deserve it.

I curse too much, but I try to keep it under control on formums, and I want to be friends with EVERYONE.

    So that about covers me.

I can resist everything except temptation.

    Hello Michelle!

Welcome to the forum! Lovely to have you here. I love your post! Gosh, it's like we know so much about you already! Being a musician myself, it's great to have something to pour yourself into I wouldn't have it any other way. Anyway, welcome and keep us posted. Don't forget to read the stickies and drink your water, oh yes and check out all the forums. See you around!

    Good Luck!

      Hello Michelle,

Welcome to ADBB! As you've done Aktins before that is a great advantage - I'm sure you'll have great results soon. I would really recommend joining exercise challenges - they really got me motivated to stick to this WOL and to keep coming here to stay on the straight and narrow.

20 piercings is impressive! I'm planning a symbolic belly button piercing for when I reach goal I had to google kitty ears, but the clue is pretty much in the name

      See you around the board

          Hello Michelle
Welcome to ADBB...there's loads of support here...the folks are very friendly and ready to help all us newbies!!

Like Baarb I'm planning on a belly button piercing when I get to goal...though it won't be my first time as I've had it pierced a couple of times before...but it kept working it's way through my skin after the first couple of months!! I'm hoping that the new slim me will be able to keep it in next time!! LOL

            Yikes Janet!

I didn't know that could happen (whimper). How can you stop that happening? Also, does it hurt?

You can prevent migration (thats what it calls when it works it way out) if your piercer uses a big enough size ring, and its deep enough into the skin. Try bmezine if you want to do some research on it before you get it. When I got my tongue pierced, I was a frequenter of that site to know what I was getting myself into. When you get it, post a picture!
