  • Here I Am!

I am so glad I found this board - So many people supporting!! Im not going to lie - I did atkins before.. In 2005 I lost 80 pounds on atkins... then somehow someway I got off track - and have since gained a large majority of it back.

I am now 4 days into my induction - Its been a bit tough for me... I was so used to eating the sugar free jello as well as the sugar free candies and a ton of other stuff that I now have learned is not good for induction - nor is it really good for the diet in general... At least that seems to be the general feeling with most on the boards?

Anyways... Im glad to be here. I am going to lose this weight, and keep it off. I have a lot of life ahead of me.. And I want to get healthy.

So far - lots of eggs. I love a nice hardboiled egg.
I had the most amazing baked cod last night... It is fun getting to cook more often - that is certainly a perk. Fast food had taken over my life, I had forgotten how great a home cooked meal was.

I have been drinking One Gallon of water (sometimes more) a day. And have walked 8 miles in the past 4 days.

I am excited, and feeling healthy - but I cant seem to get rid of this headache that i have had? Could be a sinus thing maybe.. I have trouble with the sinuses.. but I am beginning to think it may have something to do with the diet.

    I will stop rambling.
Hello - its nice to be here. I hope to stay a long while!

Hello Iwanttosing.... welcome to ADBB! Happy you're with us. Good for you starting up the walking. Exercise is really really important.

Yes... as Laurenfra said, sounds like you have a touch of the induction flu. This is a bore, but in reality is a good thing. It means your body is weaning itself off the carbs. Hang in there and it'll be gone in a few days, leaving you full of energy and feeling great.

If you have any queries, just holler and someone is sure to answer.
      Happy losing!

          Hello Iwanttosing,

Welcome to the board. Great to have you here! Give a another day or so, and those headaches should start getting better. Were you drinking a lot of caffiene drinks before? Oh yes....AWESOME job on the water....A gallon is definately the way to go. I know it gets old, and you have to run to ladies room all day, but eventually your body gets used to that!

Best of wishes, that induction flu will pass, then you'll be freeeeeeee!
