Hello there I'm new here been reading and reading though, I'm on day 2 of induction and I gotta admit I am scared to death
I began eating a low fat, calorie counting diet on Jan 4th and have lost 12 pounds but then nothing this month I am like stuck at 247 I am female, 5'4, 43 yrs old... so I decided to try Atkins to curve the carbs.. I did an informal Atkins years ago, it was my version of meats and salads and I lost 28lbs that first month.. gained it all back and then some because I was a clown lol
I am so afraid right now.. eating butter, bacon, fried eggs and such for breakfast when I use to have oatmeal and raisins. I am so afraid I'm gonna gain back the 12 lbs I lost
I am trying to remember that this works but I am so scared right now. So I am on day 2 had a rough night just couldn't rest well felt tired and anxious and couldn't sleep, I'm sure it's withdrawals lol
I love salads and even on a low fat diet I had them with just chicken or fish on the side, so that is no problem for me! Last time I did a KFC thingie and ate salads lol I did lose 28 lbs lol Shooey I even ate their coleslaw thinking it veggies lol Oh silly me... Please tell me I can do this, because this is the very opposite of what I was doing.. fruits, veggies, wheat, low fat, low calories...I have no cravings for sweets, and junk food, thought I'd never eat fried food again...
Oh, please help me through this!!

Just relax and drink your water. You won't gain back the poundage you lost... Are you tracking your food? One thing that you might want to pay attention to is your calories (since the low-fat/ low cal diets can be *soo* low that your body goes into starvation mode, sometimes it takes a little bit for it to adjust to being "allowed" to eat again)... What are you planning on doing for exercise? The challenges here are really great motivation to keep going.
