  • Hello. I am Maggie...

    Hello!

My name is Maggie and I am 32-years-old. I "did" Atkins a couple of years ago solo and lost some weight but fell off the wagon into some potato chips. I am back now and this is my first day. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

      Hi Christy,

One question I have it how to figure what I should have as a goal weight. I listed 199 cause it isn't in the 200s. Is there a way to figure what weight you would be in a certain size or something?

        Hello Maggie,

Welcome to the board. Lots of helpful information to guide you through your journey. Might I recommend, since this is your second time around, you come on by the Second Time Around Forum and introduce yourself. Alot of good folks there, my self including, who have altered life slightly, only to return to this amazing way of life. Come on by, pull up a chair, say hello, we're ready to help you!

Welcome Maggie! Glad you joined us here at ADBB!

Ideal weight can depend on several factors, but there are many charts around that calculate this, according to age, height and weight. I think, if you type "ideal weight calculator" into Google, you should find lots of sites that will give you a fair idea.

Looking forward to reading of your successes soon!

Thanks for the welcome Sally. I have promised myself not to weigh for 14 days since all over the board people say to avoid the scale.

Not weighing in induction is very wise! Good decision.

Hi Maggie! Welcome to the board. Do you own the 2002 edition of DANDR? It's invaluable for eating properly. You can also check out the FAQ's and induction forum.

If you're not weighing (really good!) you should probably measure yourself because you will be losing inches.
