Hello,
I am a Middle School principal in an urban city in West/Central pennsylvania which is a very stressful job.
I also play guitar in a rock band on the weekends. We do approximately 8 shows a month.
My doctor thinks that I'm definitely a Stress Eater, however I know that I was a carboholic. At 6 foot 2 1/2 I have a very large(broad) build and carry my weight really well. Once I had my bone density scanned and it came up as a 6, -1 to 1 is normal, 6 is a Neanderthal. According to the nurse doing the test, she has never seen anything like that. About 7 years ago I started counting calories and went from a 375lb high to about 235lbs, this was also acheived by walking around 4 miles daily. After a divorce and other misc. things I found myself tipping the scales at a plump, LoL, 405lbs. How could I ever let myself get this heavy? Well it didn't happen over night, that's for sure.
I started the Atkins lifestyle February 12, 2007 after my doctor suggested it and she told me I had to lose at least 10lbs by March 19, 2007, my next appointment.
I currently weigh 379lbs but I've seemed to have stalled a little in the last several days. I workout by doing 30 minutes a day on a recumbant bike and will be mixing it up starting today with a treadmill workout. If our early spring ever arrives, I will get back to walking outside which is my favorite workout. I am determined to get back to feeling good about myself and being to play with my 8 year son and family like I want to. My biggest fear is dying and I realize at my weight and stress level, it is only a matter of time. This is not fair to my family or myself. Have a great day.
Thanks for reading and I look forward to everyones support and supporting others.
