    Hi!
    I'm Chris. 37, mom of 4. I started Atkins about 5 years ago and lost 100 pounds. I've kept it off most of this time. I got married last year and over the fall/winter 20 lbs. just crept back on. My husband is a big guy and likes to eat at restaurants and I pretty much went towards his way of eating. This is my 2nd go at Atkins. I've been on Induction for a week and I don't see the scale move. I read some of the posts here and someone had mentioned that 2nd time arounders don't lose the weight as fast as newby's.
    There are a few things that had changed since the last time around. I am on Depo which may make it harder to lose weight and I had stopped smoking 3 weeks ago and tend to think about food more.
    I feel like I'm getting back on track. I'm exercising more, eating what I'm suppose to eat, definately eating more salads. But there may be one thing that's probably not on the list and that's Sugarfree Whip Cream. It has 0 carbs. Has Splenda in it. I'd like your thoughts on this or if there is another option to curb your sweet tooth.

    There is a health chat, etc. that you might be able to find helpful information.

    Sounds like you're kicking up the exercise, good, eating right, better..but...you mention salads, remember 2 cups of salad veggies, and 1 cup of acceptable veggies...are you doing that? You might want to post what you are eating in the POST YOUR MENU forum, that way, some of the seasoned Atkineers might be able to provide some insight. As far as the whipped cream with splenda...well....you might want to forgo that until you move onto OWL Rung 2 Dairy....only because your daily allotment of heavy cream is 3 tablespoons...it's kind of hard to whip that small amount up...but that may just be a personal thing myself. I would think you might tend to put a little extra in to get it going, and that extra might or might not be a result in the non-weight loss. Depending on how much splenda you are using in it, that could be the culprit for not losing.

    That being said, since you have only been on induction for a week, don't sweat it, the scale will move eventually. Are your clothes feeling loose? If you are following the plan by the book, you should start seeing something soon.

    Also...since you've done this WOL before, why not stop in at the Second Time Around Club (lovingly referred to as STACer's) and say hello. There might be some folks there with helpful info on how to curb that sweet tooth! It has been a godsend to me being able to post and talk about why I strayed....but here I am, your humble narrator...ready to help those in need and wanting help!!

    Thanks for posting....oh yes...1 other thing, there is a private forum for women only also...I'm sure you could find some help there on the subject of Depo and actions/reactions/inhibators etc..

      Hiya Chris and welcome!
      Congrats on your awesome loss of 100 lbs last time... and for maintaining all but 20 lbs.

      I'm sure that if you are focused on your goal, you will start losing. It's true that sometimes, the second time around things can go slower, but sooner or later your body will realise you're serious and the weight will go. Takes a bit of patience.

      I'm afraid I can't give you any advice about the Depo... but I'm sure someone will soon be able to give their opinion/viewpoint.

      Looking forward to reading your posts and following your Atkins journey.
