  • My 3rd day of Induction

This is my 3rd day and so far so good. I have exercised everyday this week. Which I never used to do. I actually feel so much better. I have lots more energy and just feel good. I have only lost .5 lbs so far, but hey this is just the beginning.

The only problem I have is that I do not like any of the vegetables on the allowable list. I am a very picky eater, always have been.

Good luck to all us newbies!!!

I think even a picky veggie eater will find there are some wonderful choices out there. First off we are allowed to put things in or on are veggies like butter, cream, cheese (within moderation of course), and we have a recipe section that will give you some fabulous ideas for turning something you used to not like into something you love. I think there are a lot of people who started on this WOE with the same concerns as you and I am sure they will give you excellent advice on how to make veggies not only tolerable but very delicious.

I am not a big veggie fan either, but have been trying something new each day. I am on day 4 and feel pretty good now. I am also in TN!

        What veggies do you like?

Oh I like the veggies that are not really good for you like the potato and corn. I only like green veggies in a soup so I cannot really taste them. I just dont want to get bored with eating the same thing everyday. I do enjoy salads so that is a +. I just need to start trying some and see if I like them.

I live in Westmoreland, TN-(xecutech) its about 1 hour north of Nashville

I am the same way, corn and potatos, but salads are fine. I sauteed mushrooms and onions and had them over a steak last night, felt like I was cheating!

I am making a taco salad tonight... ground beef with some salsa and sour cream served over shredded lettuce and topped with cheese. I never eat the shells from taco salads, so I won't be missing anything, except the refried beans!

Look through the recipes. I found alot of ideas in there.

Try this site for veggies ideas!!!!

                http://www.genaw.com/lowcarb/index.html

You have to eat the veggies, sorry no substitutes....and definately no potato or corn....sorry!!! Those do come back in much later...

Give them a try......just like excutech said, sauteed mushrooms in butter....there's nothing better than that!! Yummy!

That is funny, I am making taco salad tonight also. I just dont do the sour cream or the tomatoes. I also dont like mushrooms, but it does sound good anyway.

Welcome to ADBB JB!! Glad you found us here.

You'll probably find that if you try new veggies in small amounts you'll develop a taste for them and then you won't be able to do without. Happens to lots of folk here.
                    Happy losing!
