  • HI! 11lbs in 8 days!

Hi, I am a 32 year old stay at home mom, and I have 2 kids 6 and 2. Today is day 9 and I have lost 11 lbs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! in 8 days!
I started at 222 and am now 211. My goal is 122. I may not need to go that low, but I have always been overweight so I don't know what I will need to weigh.

I love this WOE! I am never hungry and I have lost all cravings. I am someone who has tried all the other diets and can not stick to any of them. I love ADBB is has been a huge motivation for me the last few days! You are all so wonderfull! Thank you for taking the time to share.

Kgsmom... that's awesome! 11 lbs in eight days is real "welcome to Atkins" and is better than any welcome I could possibly give you!!! All the same... a warm welcome to ADBB. Glad you've joined our Atkins family!

It's cool that you like this way of eating so much... so do I! And you'll find it gets better and better. Also, the board is a great place for the exchange of low carb recipes.

Are you doing anything about exercise? That's another great way to shed pounds and is a definite part of the programme.

    Happy losing!

Re: HI! 11lbs in 8 days!

Yes I do execize but not as much as I would like to. I usually go to the gym 2 times a week. I workout for 30 to 50 min, and lift some weights also. I enjoy working out, but my husband is never home so I can't go even in the early am or pm. I would have to have a baby sitter.

I should probably do more at home though. I like the walk away the pounds workouts.

It is nice to see that this can be done you have all worked so hard.
          Thanks,

Re: HI! 11lbs in 8 days!

Thanks scooter! I will change my goal weight to 135. I have a lot of muscle so I think that I will look great at that weight! I can't wait!

I have to go back east to see my family this summer and I guess my goal for that is to have lost 35lbs. I have untill June 17 th. Do you think that I am asking for too much?

Goal for June 17th to be down 35 lbs.

Re: HI! 11lbs in 8 days!

I think that is a practical goal. Very reachable. It all depends on our bodies you know that. But I think 2.6 pounds (give or take) could be done!! I wish you the best, just make sure you drink lots and lots of water and do that exercise daily!!!! Eat your 3 cups of veggies.....you'll be on your way, or very very close. Heck, you might even surpass it. But right now, enjoy it while it's coming off! Good for you!
