    During a google search (I was searching for some before/after pictures for some motivation), I found this message board again... I registed back in January 2004 and I guess I never ended up posting under this name.

    Just wanted to post and introduce myself. My name is Heather and I look forward to posting here with you all! I've been off and on Atkins/or some other variant of low-carb eating for about 4 years now. I recently found out that there is a possibility I may have PCOS (which explains SO MUCH!) and the doctor actually suggested I go on low-carb (she didn't know I'd tried this WOL many times before) because it'll help with the PCOS symptoms and make me lose weight at the same time. It was a huge wake-up call when I stepped on the scale at the doctor's office and it read 270 a couple of weeks ago... so I'm more determined than ever to get this weight off once and for all!

      thanks Juli! I'm not sure if I'm down 15 lbs exactly (it's just what my scale reads compared to the one at the doctor's office... those are Eeevil!.. I think I'm going to stick my scale readings instead, even if it happens to be a few pounds off).

        Warm welcome to you Zhak. Glad you found the board.

        Seems like you're off to a great start. Awesome! I'm sure that'll soon become a great "continuation" all the way to goal and maintenance!

          Welcome to the board. You found it the same way I did a year ago. Click click, point, hey what's this...hmmm....WOW! So hear I am 73 pounds slimmer. I was looking over some threads that my interest you....hold on...

          Anyway, it is awesome to have you with us, you might want to check out the Second Time Around Club, as we (including myself) have all fell off the wagon so to speak, and need to learn how to refocus and redirect our lives to living this lifestyle. I was one of the lucky ones and got a grip only after putting 14 pounds on, it took a month or more to get refocused, but with the help of my wonderful fellow STACer's I was successful.

          Sometimes, we are given 'obstacles' in life. It's these obstacles that show us sometimes, we need a shoulder to lean on to get over them. No worries! YOU CAN DO THIS, YOU WANT TO DO THIS!

            Hi zhak! Welcome to the board. There's info on PCOS all over the board as there are many that have it. I'm glad you've found us, post frequently so we can watch your progress.

                Hi Heather! Welcome. Glad you've found us and decided to introduce yourself. Get comfortable with the board...there's a mound of info here and motivational people who want to help you make your goal! Keep us posted!
