    Hello! I am happy to be here. I began Atkins on 12/29/06 and have been using this site as a reference all along. I actually would have been a member sooner but I had some registration issues. I am 26, 5'10'', and when I started I weighed about 350lbs. This is my estimation, as I did not weigh myself at the beginning or much at all at first (the last time I had been weighed was at the doctor before the holidays and the scale said 348 ). I do weigh weekly now and I am down to 285 as off this morning. I am so excited about the effectiveness of this way of eating. It is just so scientifically reasonable! I feel great and I am free of cravings. I love it and I talk to people about it all the time. I am doing extended induction and I do it to the book, I am hyper-vigilent. The only exception, as far as being totally "clean", is that I eat bars. I just started excercising this past week and, it's crazy, but with so much weight off now I am really enjoying the movement.

    In my regular visits here before I was a member I learned so much from all of you and have been inspired by your stories. I am so excited to be part of his community!

    Welcome, Musical!

    I agree with you: this WOL makes sense once you research it. In my experience, the people who disagree with it only feel that way because they only know bits and pieces, and go with what someone else told them. We'll show them though!

    Congratulations on your success so far!

      Warm welcome to you Musical... and congrats on your success so far.

      Glad you're enjoying this way of eating and can see how it makes sense scientifically. Sounds like you're in for the duration and fully intend to reach goal and go on to maintain. Wonderful!

      So far you've done really well...despite the bars. If you ever run into difficulties (and I hope you don't), my advice would be for you to ditch those first off.

      Post often and keep us in the know. We're all behind you 100%!

        Glad to have you here with us. Watch those Atkins Bars man, they're addictive and can cause your weight loss to stall. That being said, congrats on the weight loss to date!! Don't be a stranger, make some posts and let us hear more about your success!!
