  • Howdy from Central PA!

    This is my 3rd or 4th time around.

    1st time was unbelievably successful. Went from 210 down to 160.

    The other times were not as successful. I'm getting older, methinks.

    Trying to drop from 188 back down to 160-170 this time.

    Welcome back Dougmeister! You've come to the right place. There's lots of support and encouragment here. Since you made it happen before....write out what caused you to stop living the low-carb life-style. Make plans to avoid backsliding this time around. We are all here for you! Get active in the forums, join the challenges, read the book and make plans to succeed. You can do it. We are all here for you!

        Welcome back to Atkins Dougmeister! Glad you decided to re-commit to this way of eating.

        Yes... it's sooooo unfair that as we get older the lbs disappear slower, but they do still disappear if you do this programme the way it was planned by Dr Atkins. I'm sure they'll disappear for you too. You just need that little bit more patience than previously.

        Take a stroll around the board... there are lots of fun things going on: Exercise challenges, journals, low carb recipes, health chat.... all pretty motivational. Why not take the plunge and join in something!

        Keep us posted as to your progress... we're behind you 100%!

              Yo Dougmeister. A fellow former Pennsylvanian here as well. Now....I subside in the land of corn....(Indiana) shudder and miss the hustle and bustle and beauty of the City of Brotherly Love....Philly.

              Anyway, that being said, welcome to the spot light buddy!! Might I suggest since you've been around the block abit, you check out the Second Time Around Club. It's basically for those of us (your faithful spotlight host included) who have slipped from plan into the dark, only to find our way back into the light!!

              'Go to the light Carol Ann.......' (sorry movie quote can't help it....haha)

              I'd also like to share some motivational threads and some links to kick in your restart again. Message me sometime, I have a great recipe for a Philadelphia Cheese Steak Salad.......nice...........yeah baby!!!!
