    Hello to everyone!
I have been reading all your posts and information for the last week and it is incredible. Thanks for all the advice and info, I really feel like you will be able to help me stay on track.

My story - Abput seven years ago I was @ 183 lbs. and feeling horrible. I was diagnosed with Lupus and slept all the time. After two years of feeling crappy, I decided to change my life and started Atkins. I lost 35 lbs. and after that the doctors could not find any sign of lupus in my blood tests, it was a real miracle. Over the last few years, I have felt great and have been playing tennis, hiking and exercising like crazy. Recently my weight creeped back up and I was at 168. People say I look great still but I am started to feel tired. I have been eating whatever I wanted for the last few years. I have tried Atkins few times recently but it didn't work. I forgot all the important rules and didn't have the book.

Anyway, I need to make a change before I get sick again, so I started Atkins on Monday 4/2 and have already lost 7 lbs. I am doing this together with my friend.. (she is going to post too). My goal is 140..and I know I can do it!!

Thanks for all your posts, they are great and inspiring

Welcome to ADBB DisneyGirl. Glad to have you around!

It's cool that you're doing this with a friend. You can support and encourage each other, which is a nice bonus.
You mentioned not having the book. It would be a really worthwhile investment. If you do decide to get it, choose the 2002 edition which is the last one Dr A wrote in its entirety.

            Happy losing!

Sorry DG... I just read your friend's post and see that you gave her a copy of DANDR... so that probably means you already have one... that's cool!
