Wow, what a comprehensive Atkins board. I'm really glad that I found this site.
I am new to Atkins, but not new to dieting. I think I've dieted since I was around 13 years old, though, looking back on my pics from my teen years, I certainly didn't need to be. At 18 I weighed 117 lbs "soaking wet with clothes on", and thought I was fat. Man, to have those days back again, eh?
So, a couple of decades later (where the heck does the time go?!), and two beautiful girls later (Danika who is 8 and Kaia who is 2), and 2 c-sections later, I know that I have good reason to seriously reapply myself to my weight loss efforts.
Right now I sit at 160 lbs (actually, 158.5 as of this morning - YAY) and I started the Atkins plan yesterday morning. Looking forward to really getting this baby fat off and regaining my youth and health again, although I am generally pretty healthy. I've just gotten so sick of the bloated, over-carbed feeling and I am so tired of dressing strategically to hid the rolls of fat and cellulite.
Other details about myself.....
I teach grade 3/4 in Ontario Canada, I am happily married to a great husband and awesome father to our girls and I also design and create custom bikinis for professional bodybuilders and figure competitors, which has been quite a blast. Time to get my body looking a bit closer to my clients now!
I look forward to getting to know more of you here, and also to being totally committed to my own transformation.
