  • Hi everyone, trying it once again

    Hi

I am going to start Atkins again in the new year. I did Atkins about 2 years ago and lost about 60 pounds, after introducing "franken foods" to my diet I came to a stall and got aggravated and eventually slid back into my old lifestyle gaining back 60+. I am so frustrated with myself, but am determined to do things right this time. I am currently re-reading the book and getting familiar with the acceptable food lists for induction. I also got an elliptical machine for Christmas to help me get started on the right track, even if I have to start at 5 to 10 minutes and work myself up.
I will win this battle for GOOD!!!!!

I am doing this because I would like to be healthy when I decide to have kids and also have them grow up with a healthy lifestyle and not have to go through life overweight like I did all my life.

Hope to get to know alot of you here

Hey Kristi :wave , welcome back to a healthier way of life again. Wow! 60 lbs was a big success. How long did it take you to lose that initially? I am sure you will be right back there on the losing end of the scale very soon. And then some. And hey, 5 or 10 minutes on the elliptical is a great start. I am also planning to start riding my stationary bike again for my weight loss to speed up as much as possible.

Thanks supertramp, I see your are a newbie too. So Welcome to you :wave also. When I lost the 60 pounds the first time it took about 4 to 5 months at that time I was also walking with a friend of mine, who has since moved away.

I am determined however to accomplish my goals this time. I have even got my parents and husband on board to at least try it for a couple of months. I'm in it for the long haul and the only things there will be to eat in the house is going to be meat and veggies. I am thinking of holding out on the cheese because I tend to go overboard with it.

Thanks for the welcome and good luck on your weight loss journey.

Thanks to all who stopped by to say hi. I am determined to get back on track the right way, that is why I am taking these few weeks before January 1st to really read the book and get in the right mindset. Looking around this board is enough to make anyone get back on track. There are so many motivational stories and its nice how everyone tries to help out everyone else.

Again hello and thanks to all :nod
