Hi All. My name is Terry. I'm 50 and have tried Atkins in the past and lost around 30 lbs. I got bored with it and the pounds have just kept creeping up. My weight was up over 300 lbs and I was getting desperate. I decided to come back to Atkins about three weeks ago. I am still on the induction phase and doing and feeling great! I really haven't weighed myself but I definitely have lost inches - two notches on the belt! I feel different this time around. I really want this to become a lifestyle for me and I never want to return to the high carb lifestyle. I haven't started exercising regularly yet but I will. My goal weight is 200 lbs so I know I have to be in it for the long haul.

Hi Terry..Welcome! Sounds like your off to a great start! I tried it briefly in the past too..and failed..but I thought i could do a 'modified' atkins..and that just didnt work for me..its gotta be all or nothin..and the mindset of realizing u have to do this for life really helps. To finally be able to lose weight is so much more rewarding than giving up some fav foods. Best of luck to you!
