  • New to Atkins

    Hello Everybody:

I am new to Atkins and posting, so please be patient. Found this site and am impressed by the before and after photos of all of the members, and I'm encouraged by the support shown to new members.
I plan to read as much as I can get my hands on about Atkins, and in the meantime, starting today, will go the Atkins route. Thanks for listening, wish me luck.....

Good luck KM. I've been following Atkins for just over 4 months and I am down 36 lbs.
Today I am feeling really motivated! I haven't been at this weight for at least 3 years.

          Re: New to Atkins

Welcome Katies mom! Glad to have you aboard.

Good for you, wanting to read up on how to do Atkins properly. Understanding how and why this way of eating is so healthy and effective is fundamental.
Becky's right... if you can get a hold of a copy of DANDR 2002 edition, everything will become clear. We use that edition here because it was the last one written entirely by Dr A.

If you need a helping hand, just give a shout. Plenty of people here ready and willing to support and advise.
