    Hi All

First let me say what a fantastic forum this is. I live in Denmark and I've be all alone overhere with my Atkins. It's so uplifting to log on here, and realise that I'm not the only one who has questions, is looking for recipes and generally good advice. So thanks to everybody for letting me in on all your secrets.

I read Atkins in dec 2005 and was starting in jan on my new lifestyle, however I found out I was pregnant, so I put it on hold. Now I've been on induction for 16 days and I'm doing great. I feel fantastic - the first three days were difficult but that's easily forgotten when you feel so great afterwards right!!!
I have lost 7,2kg and 34,5 cm - I can't believe it - it is a kinda magic. During week 2 and up until now I've "only" lost 0,8kg but I've realised that I've been eating too many vegetables, probably about 2 cups more that I should. I just wasn't thinking - but back on track today.

I'd love to hear from people how long they have been following Atkins, and when they left induction - I'm doing good on induction but I suppose there comes a time when you can't do this anymore.

Thanks again to everybody and looking forward to talking to you guys

    Re: Another Newbie

Hello there Eena! Welcome to the board. It's cool that you found us here and now don't feel so alone over there in Denmark. I know all about that, doing Atkins in Italy, where there are so few other Atkineers. This board is a great help and comfort.

Congrats on your loss so far. That's awesome!

You can stay on induction for quite a long time... but you need to leave enough time to do OWL comfortably, before reaching goal. It takes some time to move up the rungs, learn which are your trigger foods and find your CCLL (critical carb level for losing).
Don't be afraid to make the move... you still lose in OWL, and some people lose even more! The extra food choices are very welcome too.

Keep us posted as to your progress. We're with you all the way!
    Before and after:

Start 10 Jan 2005. Maintenance since Aug. 2005.

          Re: Another Newbie

Hi Eena, welcome from me too. I'm in my third week of Atkins and loving it. I feel so much healthier than I did, its hard to believe I could feel so different in such a short space of time.
In relation to keeping track of your carbs, why not sign up to www.fitday.com - its free and you can keep track of all food you eat each day. For me it was a real eye opener to see how much certain foods have. I now realise the importance of measuring my brocolli for example so I don't go over on my carb count.

          Good luck and keep posting!
