  • Newbie from Spain

Hi Im Matthew From Spain, I started a normal low calorie diet in June and up to now ive lost about 55 Pounds , I have been given the Atkins Book and i want to start this on 2 jan. My food at the moment is limited to 1000 Calories a day , I take 150grms of protien a day in the form of whey powder and 5 grams of creatine and a multivitamin a day, I work out 4 times a week in the gym lifting weights, Will the atkins diet disrupt any of this??
    Best regards,
    Matthew

Welcome to the board Matthew! I hope you'll find it as helpful as I have!

I don't have the answer to your question, but I'll certainly look around for it. Hopefully someone else will have the answer already.

      HI Matthew....

Try the 'search' at the top of the board. I find many answers that way. Also take a moment to stop in the century club and say hello. Many very helpful people there with 100+ to lose, myself included.

      Read your book !!!

        Hello Matthew from Spain! :wave

I think that you'll be happy to know that you can eat more than 1000 calories a day while doing Atkins. :yes

I don't think that Atkins will disrupt any of that. You'll want to make sure that the creatine is sugar free and add the carbs from your supplements into your carbohydrate totals for the day.

And I've heard some talk about the multivitamin should be without iron. We get plenty of iron in the foods we eat on this WOE and I believe that iron builds up in our systems and can be toxic. I think especially so with men.

I think I'm right, but maybe someone else has more to say about this. And I've never professed to be an expert.

        Good luck! :wave
