  • Hi everybody this is day 7 4 me

I call it, Protien2Perfection! I'm cyberspacestar. This is day 7 for me. I've been on this forum a few years ago, so i'm not a first time winner. I was homless for a while so I couldn't eat properly and went off the diet. The shelters feed you tons of day old donuts! I am finally not homelss thanks 2 my BF and it took me about six months to decide to get back on this program. I've been eating tuna w/mayo and beef for the past 7 days. I'm approximatley 160 pounds at 5'2 so i've got about 30 pounds to loose. I don't own a scale but I can see I've maybe lost a pound or two so far.

About how many pounds have you guys lost after finishing induction?

    Welcome Cyber!
Glad to see things are looking up for u and u are back on the program! Dont forget your veggies.
I think i lost about 13 lbs on induction...but i have a lot more weight to lose than u do.
If i recall, they say u can expect to lose 5-10% of the total weight u need to lose...on induction (someone correct me if im wrong).
    Good luck to you!!

Re: Hi everybody this is day 7 4 me

I dislike announcing this but I fell right back off the wagon yesterday and today! I had a fight with my BF and it threw me right back off. I was making some good progress too. I went and ate some devil dogs, 3musketeers and pasta.
I am so upset. then my Bf told me that he can't support getting me the things i need for the diet because he doesn't have the money for it so i should eat what he has in the house. I've got a few days left of protien food that i can eat in the fridge but after that I'll see if he can get me more hamburgers and tuna again.

Thanks for the responses.. the weightloss pic of you guys look great!! Atkins was the only diet plan that worked for me when I stayed consistant. I'm just sad I spent 7 days and lost 1 or 2 pounds and i screwed my metabolism up once again.

Re: Hi everybody this is day 7 4 me

I understand living on a budget. Here are some tips to help stretch the $ and still eat low-carb:

Buy frozen meats and fish in large quantities and split them up for more meals.
Eggs can be made into many meals and used for in between snacks
Tuna is very inexpensive and delicious. It can also be used as a meal or inbetween.
Buy a head of lettuce and split it into several salad meals.

You won't be buying bread, rice, chips, sodas or snacks. I've found that my grocery list would be a lot less than the others in my family who aren't doing low-carb.

Show him the list and let him pick out things you both like so you can prepare the menu together.

              EDIT
