    I am new to this board and the first time I've tried Atkins. I have tried other LC plans in the past, but my sister's success with Atkins made me choose this over other plans. I've read the '92 book, but I am following 2002 rules.

    I started induction yesterday. Since I need to lose more than 100 (probably around 170 total), I will be checking out the Century Club. I've really benefited from the information.

    Welcome VMC. I'm glad your sister's success has inspired you to join us. We have a great support system here with wonderful people who want to see you succeed.       Hello there VMC. Welcome aboard! Glad your sister's success was your motivation to do Atkins. I'm sure you'll soon have the same success she had.
      Take a tour around the board and join in any activities you feel like. They're fun and really help getting into the right "mindset".

            Hi VMC Welcome to the board. It's wonderful you have support in real life with your sister. Does she come to this board? I'm sure you can get tons of inspriation from her and doing it together will certainly help you stay on track!

              My sister doesn't come to this board. She's actually on WW now, which she doesn't mind. Before she got pregnant she used Atkins for years. However, after her son was born she found it too hard to cook plus take care of him (he had reflux so he was high demand). She went on WWs and lost the baby weight. However, now that he's over a year old, she feels like making separate meals would be too hard.

              With me talking to her about this a lot, she may go on it again, which would be fun. She's sending me all her recipes, etc. She only has like 20 pounds to lose, but because she has MS she needs to lose it to prevent relapse.

                It would be good if you could do it together. The thing about Atkins is, if you follow the plan and move up the food ladder properly, essentially you will be eating from every food group, just whole, fresh healthy foods. WW includes every food group and what we call "frankenfoods" (packaged etc.), but the food intake is so limited! Either way, I'm glad you've made the decision to come here.
