Hi Lizzy! It sounds like we have similar stories....newly diabetic, high bp, wishing and waiting for bariatric surgery for the last 3 years, tried them all including optifast--the ONLY one doc would sign off on--and then dh said : I think the one that worked the best for you was Atkins. Doh! So here I am again! Good luck!
