    hello! my name's michelle. i've been peeping around these boards trying to decide if i should give this a go and well, here i am on day 1. giving up carbs is going to be quite a challenge but it's about the only thing i haven't tried. my highest weight has been 250 and over the course of a few years managed to pull that down significantly. i was at 168 in november but had an emotional meltdown with the death of my grandma and gained 12 lbs back. today i'm starting at 180 and am hoping to at least lose the 12 lbs i gained within the next 4 weeks. i'm in a long distance relationship so this will be the first time my bf sees me since the weight gain. i plan on posting pictures, so please get on me if i slack w/the picture posting. i just have to figure how things work around here.

    Hi there Michelleoh! Welcome to Atkins and to the board. You've come to a terrific place for support and motivation.

    I'm sure you'll find that this way of eating is very effective in helping you toward a slimmer figure and better health.

    Join an exercise challenge, start a journal, try a low carb recipe.... there's lots going on on the board that's fun and motivating.

    Keep us posted as to your progress. We're all behind you 100%!

          thanks so much. i must say that you all have inspired me with your success stories. WOW. i'll keep snooping around and hope to add some good updates soon with some photos this coming weekend (end of week 1). again, thanks for the encouragment!

                Welcome, you already have accomplished so much with your weight loss so far! CONGRATULATIONS!!! I am also new to this, I am on my 4th day of induction and I am down 4lbs. I hope to see you more often on here!
