  • Hi fellow newbies!

    Hi all,

    I've been skulking around this forum for a few days and found it to be really encouraging! You guys are so great and supportive! Yay for you! So it's Day 2 of induction for me and things are going OK so far. I've read DANDR and am following it closely. I am going to be cheat-free!(crosses fingers) I haven't exercised much - I work full time and am finishing up my masters degree on the weekend,but I plan on starting Wed. morning when I get back home for work. I was wondering if there was someone out there who would be interesting in buddying up with me - to be a daily contact person and to exercise "with". I haven't figured out how to post my mini goals and beginning weight and such, but right now I am at 151lbs/5'2" and am looking about 30 lbs. Anybody need a weightloss buddy?

      i'll take a weightloss buddy!! i'm on day 2 as well, am also looking into posting stats and photos...apparently not so well. i've yet to do either.

          Welcome aboard Maccabee! Sounds like you plan to succeed, what with reading the book and planning on starting to exercise. That's half the battle won straight off! Good for you!

          Post lots and get involved in board activities. You'll find it all helps and motivates.

            Thanks for the welcome! Forgive me if I still haven't quite figured out how to do all the posting stuff yet. You're right sallyseachange - I need to get active on this forum. I dont have any expertise yet so I guess I can still offer encouragement though!

              thighsofthunder...We're weight twins.... Have you found that you are losing weight more slowly than others on induction? Is this common when needing to lose only 30-40 lbs? I know that my own body seems to like the weight I'm at and doesn't want to budge unless I do something drastic!

                  Hey mac,

                  I've only just started. I lost three pounds in 7 days (as of yesterday, didn't weigh today). So I guess that is slower than most of the others. I've put on almost 40 pounds in the last 4 years (since graduating HS).
