Well, my first post is going to also be my Mother's Day gift to myself. I have "tried" low carb wol before and felt wonderful, but for numerous reasons that all sound like pathetic excuses, I got away from it. But........I am back. For several reasons. Yes, like most, I have a bunch of pounds to lose. But my motivation at this point is really about feeling better physically. I always felt so wonderful when I cut carbs out of my eating and now I am at a point in life where I really am tired of feeling tired, achey and just out of it all the time.
I was recently put on blood pressure meds and one of my goals is to get healthy enough to control my blood pressure with exercise and healthy living.
Whew--big job ahead of me. I am a week into low carb and feel so much better already, although the first few days were far from fun.
I am from MN/North Dakota and work private non profit. I have two amazing boys and a fiance that would love for me to be more active with them. I look forward to sharing and gaining from all the members here.
