  • Hi!

Hello everyone! I have been doing atkins since may 7th and so far have lost 11 lbs! I have been on this site everyday and it has really helped me to stick to it when i wanted to give up and eat cookies! I did induction for 2 weeks but cheated a little during it with low carb shakes and bars, so I restarted on the 20th because I really want to finish a clean induction. I have tried atkins before but have always given up after a week because I thought there was no way I could eat like this forever. After only 2 weeks my sugar cravings are gone. I feel so much better and I can't believe I actually don't crave carbs like I used to. It's like food was ruling my life and I didn't even know it. I was at my hightest weight when I started and theres no way Im going back! I'm determined to keep this up till I reach my goal!

    Hi Seamonkey!

This is my 2nd time around and at the beginning, I too consumed many shakes and bars. Then I found this board and realized how bad they are for weight loss! So I did a 2-week CLEAN induction, and it was the best thing I ever did! My cravings disappeared, my weightloss picked up, and I really developed a taste for healthy, whole foods once I got that junk out of my system.

I have no doubt that you will reach your goals. Just keep your eye on the prize!

          Hello Seamonkey!
We have a lot in common. We both started our Atkins on the same day and have the same start weight and goal weight. I'll keep in touch along the way. I'm excited about the changes to come. Wish you all the best. Keep up the good work!
