    Hi! I am very happy to be doing something to better my way of life but am a little scared about the induction period. What if I slip up or don't lose any weight? Luckily, I see that this board is full of helpful and encouraging people, so that is reassuring! I am happy to be starting Atkins and want to wish others starting good luck.

    Had to add this: it seems I've lost 5 lbs since I began induction yesterday! Water weight or fat, I'm glad to see it go!

    Hi there! Good luck with your weightloss journey and keep us updated with your progress!

    It sounds like your doing great!! Ive been on induction for 2 days now, and I had to restart because I did slip up...the important things for me was to get RIGHT BACK ON TRACK immediatly and drink more WATER. Things are getting easier day by day. This is a wonderful place to ask questions, theres so much info here!

      Welcome p2g , your off to a GREAT start, stick with it. If you slip remember its not a failure its just a sidestep and get right back on track, and you will do just fine. Keep us posted on your progress.

        Welcome Pounds2Go! Don't be a fraidy cat....it'll be ok. Do you have a copy of the book? Check out the 14 Day Induction forum....lot's of help there with and for people at the same stage as you.

              Hello & welcome!

              Please don't be afraid...instead be very afraid! Just kidding!!!

              Think positive...don't go into this thinking about if you cheat/fall off the wagon etc...picture yourself doing it successfully and it becoming second nature to you. Okay, yeah there may be times when you hiccup....keep it as just a hiccup. Same day get back on the plan and gulg down that water! Oh and try not to weigh in all the time, once a week/fortnight is best. Otherwise it is really easy to get discouraged as our weigh changes day from day, minute from minute.
              Don't forget to keep active in here....it really is a great support system!

                Welcome.. Try to focus on the day itself and not the days head.. Tell yourself.. I can get through it today.. If you feel you are struggling..come to the board.. Post..someone will try to cheer you on.. Look at Before/After Pictures.... That helps too..

                    Hiya, I am sure once you have completed a few days you will say to yourself "this is brilliant" you will enjoy the luxurious foods that you get to eat, I don't think I have ever eaten so well.

                      Hi Pounds! Don't be scared, just have yourself a really clean induction and move up the food ladder for OWL (ongoing weight loss). After the first 2 weeks, you will be well on your way to losing all of your weight! Come around the board often so we can see how you're doing.
