    This pic was in 2005, I weighed 372.

    This was taken October 2007, I weigh 375.

    I was on atkins last year in the early fall and lost about 30 pounds. I obviously gained it back...but I know this is the right diet for me as it works very good. So I am back!

      I just started 15 days ago, and I am down 11 lbs.
      You will find this board to be amazing, and so supportive!

      I don't think I would have made it these 15 days without it!

        I like your name purple is my favorite color. I've had purple contacts, hair and my car is purple.

        I'm also from the DFW area. How are you liking this rain? I can't stand it. We are in a giant mud puddle!

        Just started 16 days ago and still feeling great about my choice.

          Hi there nice to meet you! When I first read your response, I thought it said "purple CAT" instead of "car"!! I thought that was trippy.

          I have a purple butterfly tattoo between my shoulders, thats where the name comes from.

          Sick to death of the rain, we were stuck inside all weekend

            Yea and just when you think it might stop it starts again. We are literally floating around here. I hate it! I know it's sad though because in a couple months we'll be begging for rain.


            I'm in the Collin Co. area. Oh and tattoos cool. I have a bunch. The first one I got was a purple scorpion on my right shoulder when I was 18 that was eons ago.

            Glad to see someone else from my "neck of the woods" Yee haw.

              Hello and welcome purplebutterfly. Yes... you've chosen a pretty cool nic; I love butterflies!

              Hope you find the board to be a good place to come when you need friendly low carb advice and encouragement.

                      Hi, I am from Dallas area also, Ellis County !! This is a great board and has so much support and information !! Today is day eleven for me !!! MY husband took this week off to get t hings done and it has rained and rained and we can't get anything we planned on doing done. It beats the drought, but wow, it is making up for lost time !!!
