  • 19 y/o in beg. stages of Induction! AGH!!

Hello all, I am currently 19 years old, and out of school for the semester. I weigh around 165, and I am 5'6. I have always been chunky, and have gained over 30lbs in the last few years. I have been on atkins for four days now, and it has NOT been easy. I am on here to get some support, and ideas for a picky eater(ME!). I am not going to fail another diet, because I know I can do it. I currently have strep throat and have had the worst time avoiding my comfort food- MASHED POTATOES!

I am excited about this though and am looking to meet people

    Hi hun,

You CAN do it, just stay with it. Experiment with different foods and recipes and you will find loads that you like. Take it from someone who wishes she had stuck to a diet at 19 and NOT ended up this heavy!

    Good luck! xxx

Hi Whitney! Welcome to the board. I too am sorry you're sick, I know it's difficult to eat this way when all you want is comfort foods! Good for you for sticking it out! Please check out the teen forum as well, perhaps others will chime in to cheer you on!
