I've found that it doesn't matter, and the rule you should follow is "If you're hungry, EAT!"

I personally don't believe in this not eating after a certain time rule that some people follow...they say, don't eat after 7pm, etc. Well if I did that, I'd NEVER eat dinner! Eat when hungry, and eat to feed your hunger. The only thing to watch out for with eating late is how soon you'll be falling asleep. Sometimes eating and going to bed immediately can cause heartburn and indigestion.

If you eat food, your body begins digesting it and your metabolism is fired up. If you DON'T EAT, your metabolism slows down, so I doubt the book said that an empty stomach is beneficial. In fact, the book states to eat at least every 6 waking hours. Why? That food jumpstarts our metabolism. I'm not advocating that you eat a huge meal before bedtime to lose weight, I'm just saying that if you are hungry at night, please don't be afraid to eat.

I eat dinner every night around 7 or 8pm, and I've lost 80 pounds so far. I am a firm believer that it doesn't matter what time you eat, as long as you eat when you are hungry.

No... it doesn't matter a jot! Just follow the "feed your hunger only" rule and you can eat at three in the morning if you want to!

That's my experience too, it doesn't seem to matter when you eat, as much as how much you eat and what you eat.

Personally, I wake up when I am hungry and can't get back to sleep till I have eaten.

I think you should eat when you are hungry, just enough to satify your hunger. One of the things I love about this diet is not only that it works, but I never have to go hungry!

When I was going to the Diet Center, they said stop eating and drinking by 8 pm, but that was to keep the daily early morning weigh-in consistant (I feel more for water weight gain) and nothing more. It doesn't matter if you eat or drink late if you need to.
