  • 14 day induction, no cheats, no weight loss?

    ok, so I've been on the 14 day induction and really careful about following the plan. Up until about 2 days ago the ketostix would only turn slightly purple but I still stuck with it. Yesterday and today the stix are clearly turning purple, yet I have not given up 1 pound! Could it be that this plan is not for my body? is that possible? would love to hear from anyone who started out this way....

    it took me 2 weeks to lose 6 lbs! so I hear you. I am sticking with it regardless. I feel so much better than before so weight loss will be a plus but not feeling like I'm 90 when I'm actually 31....PRICELESS.

    Just give it awhile longer don't give up! and did you measure before hand and have you checked to see if you lost any inches? I've lost 6 inches in my waist. So I'm definitely losing something. Our bodies are odd things! I've read several people say they don't drop lbs on the scale but they lose.

    I know how you feel though I'd love to hop on the scale (i'm a scaleaholic) and see major changes in the numbers.

      Hello and welcome to ADBB! Sorry to hear you're having some difficulties from the word go.

      Have you tried measuring? Many people lose inches before lbs. And... inches are what count! No one sees your scale weight, but inches are another matter.

      Try posting a menu in the "Review my Menu" forum. You might find you need to alter something. You'll get lots of good advice there.

      Hang in there... if you do the plan correctly, it will work for you!

          hey! good luck!!! it'll be ok - i am not even using the ketostix, you'll know when you're losing i still haven't weighed myself, which i should, but I've definitely lost - it's been about a month and a half for me, my clothes are loose and i've been able to wear jeans that i couldn't before! They're the same size I normally wear, but they run a lot smaller, and those are loose now too!! you can do it!!!

            It will come, you will see a change just shortly, I promise, it happened to me and it happens to most of us, just give it time.

              Do you feel better? Are your clothes looser? Have you been exercising and drinking your water? Remember, these two things are not negotiable! Take some measurements and remeasure in a week or two. Exercise and drink like a fish! You will see a difference, just keep swimming!!!
