Hi my name is Kalie, I'm 21. I will give you a little background on myself to start out with. I had my first child at 17, and while I was pregnant I gained over 60lbs. I nursed my baby and it made me so hungry I ate all the time, so I never really lost any of that weight, only like 10lbs. In November 2005, I started atkins and lost 20lbs in a month while doing induction, then i learned I was pregnant again Christmas day of 05. I gained about 40lbs, and I once again nursed my son and lost 20lbs within the first 6 weeks of having him, but gained it back pretty much. I stoped nursing in Jan and tried doing atkins almost every monday but I can never stick to it. I made up my mind to start it and stick to it on May 21st 2007. In the first week I dropped 10lbs. Then last week on friday when I weighed in I had only lost 2lbs. thats .5 lbs a day. Then i cheated Friday night, Sat, and yesterday. I mean major cheating. It was my daughters birthday party sat and I was stressed and had no time to eat correctly. So I get on the scaled this morning and I am up to 253 again. I was at 247.5 on friday. So today starts a new day and I am determind to be cheat free and get to my goal weight. My mini goal is 190. Is there anyone who would like to buddy up with me and exzchange emails to keep track of each others progress and encourage each other and so on?

Welcome aboard Kalie! You'll find this a wonderful place to come if you're needing encouragement and/or advice. Many find they get that little extra "push", here, that keeps them from falling off the wagon. Hope that proves to be true for you too.
Post lots, ask questions and focus firmly on your goal. When temptation strikes, try to think not of how good that carby treat will taste, but of how horrid you'll feel mere seconds after you eat it. Picture yourself at goal weight and full of energy!
You can do this! We're here to help!
Happy Atkineering!Before and after:
