Re: Back again
It looks like you have taken the most important step yet.............follow the book! Drink your water and peruse the allowable foods list (very large) and HOLD YOUR HEAD UP HIGH. I think you will like what you find along your journey with Atkins. Not just the food but the supporters and most importantly...........what you find out about PANZER.
Never stop believing in yourself.Free2B
Goal # 1 Reduce my waist enough so fitting into a pair of jeans will not make me feel like a sausage with a tight string cinched around my bulging waist.
Goal # 2 Have my thighs become less familiar with one another. I am tired of them rubbing up against each other when I walk.
Goal # 3 Be able to see my back without those flabby rolls under my bra line, you know I could store things in those roll creases, a book to read, small toy etc
Goal # 4 Run a 5k in Sept. and continue this WOE.

Re: Back again
Hiya Panzer and welcome! (Welcome to you too robin!)
Panzer... your post is awesome. You sound so very committed this time around... and that's half the battle, believe me.
I think you're right not to stress the percentages too much. If you follow the program as Dr A prescribed, you'll be successful. Reading the book is a very wise decision. It's fundamental to success to understand the science behind this way of eating.
One thing I'd remind you, feed only your hunger, no more, no less... and by the same token you certainly want to avoid eating too little also, to avoid starvation mode. It's a balancing act that can take a little practice, but so worth it.
I'm certain you'll be successful this time. Post lots... we're looking forward to cheering you along the way! Before and after:

PLEDGING FLIGHTS

Re: Back again
Hey Panzer! Welcome back to the real deal! You can totally do this properly, you're 1/2 way there knowing that before you did your "own' version!
