  • Hiya.

    Hiya Everyone. :wave

Well tomorrow is the big day that Dr Atkins and I will start to battle my many bulges together. Monday the 3rd January, is dee day :whip , bye bye chips, rice, pasta and bread and hello loads of meat and eggs. I must admit this is not the first diet I have tried, but I am hoping it will be the last. Things are getting past a joke and something has to give before I become really ill. I thought Atkins may be the answer for me because I love to eat meat and egg's, I just adore butter. The thought of another calorie counting diet was more than I could take.

My name is Michelle, I am 38 and live in the UK. I am currently around 22 stone ......and yes sssssssooooooo ashamed of myself for getting in this mess! :help But hopefully things will soon start to change for me and give me some dignity and respect for myself again.

Anyway I look forward to reading your success stories and joining in.

Hi Michelle and welcome to ADBB ha

We've all been at that "OH MY GAWD" point -- and it's a good place to be, actually. Because you finally finally realize you HAVE to do something about the weight or it will only get worse.

Do you have a copy of DANDR? You really need to get one. You do know that there is much more to this than meat and eggs? You might want to take a few minutes and read through the FAQ forum -- especially the list of Acceptable Foods.

The more you know about this WOE, the better you'll do - so read read read and post questions when you have them. We'll help you all we can!

      Hi Joan

You have done so well. Congratulations. :wave

Yes I have read the books, and was just generalising. I realise there is quite a lot more involved...I should have said that meat and eggs are amongst my favourites to eat really, but nerves and such get me in a tether.
