  • Induction: Lost 10 pounds and 10.5 inches woo hoo!

Two weeks down.........With the theme from Jaws playing in my head I removed the measuring tape from the closet and looked at the scale lurking in the corner. In the privacy of my bathroom, with 8 glaring light bulbs shining down on the "truth" I was happy to discover that I made it to 185.0 yee haww!
Next came the pesky measurements. If you are in a hurry.... lost 10.50 total inches (took the measurements twice (yuk) and used a calculator.

Not sure if I went over board on the areas to measure but I wanted an accurate record and I am shaped kind of funny. Lot of fat from bellybutton up to bra, that loveliness appeared after my second pregnancy and not exercising after the wee one was born. And of course carbs were my best friends at the time. Anyhow, here are the dirty measurement details:

    Chest .50
    Under braline 1.25
INch and a half above bellybutton 3.0
    Bellybutton 2.50
    hips 1.50
    Upper arm .25
    Upper thigh 1.0
    calf .25
    neck .25

So to recap, lost 10 pounds and 10.50 inches and I am so chuffed about it!! I figure I will record stats once a week to gauge progress.

    cheers everyone!

Goal # 1 Reduce my waist enough so fitting into a pair of jeans will not make me feel like a sausage with a tight string cinched around my bulging waist.
Goal # 2 Have my thighs become less familiar with one another. I am tired of them rubbing up against each other when I walk.
Goal # 3 Be able to see my back without those flabby rolls under my bra line, you know I could store things in those roll creases, a book to read, small toy etc
Goal # 4 Run a 5k in Sept. and continue this WOE.

Hi Sillygirl and thanks for the encouragement. BUt I must confess that this weekend wasn't that great. Here is part of a post I sent to Floydgirl.

This weekend was brutal. The kids (times two) were full of energy until I got them to the park in the hot sun, then they wilted like little flowers and put on their Whiney hats. We chased the whines away with some cool drinks but that is where it went south for me.

I asked for a DIET Coke and kept on truckin.......got the kids settled in with their snacks and cool beverages and by then I was wiped out. Grabbed the so-called diet coke and BAM!!! that frothy, bubbly goodness hit my lips........something so familiar, effervescent, cascading down the ice cubes up to my lips and down the shoot it went. By this time I hear Homer Simpson's voice in my head "bubbley goodness, ahhh frothy, sugary goodness, more.. must have more, ahhh"

Well of course I wanted more, I was in a sugar coma because it was not, definitely not DIET coke!!! It was that substance I was addicted to for so long, REGULAR Coke. Yes my name is Free2B and I am a recovering Coke Addict. That evil, vile drink is everywhere, I can't escape it. Every country no matter how far away you are, has Coke. And it will find it's way to me. Like most addicts I am a creature of habit. I like my fix a certain way. Not out of a can mind you, not just a plain cold bottle will do, I like a nice glass of ice with that frothy, bubbley beverage swirling around. Ahhh frothy goodness, what was your question again??

Anyhow, so I fell off the wagon. (but I hopped back on) Sabotaged I tell you! It's my own fault, I am not supposed to have diet soda anyhow. So now you know. Maybe I should start my own chapter of Coke-aholics anonymous.

                        Your weekend sounded much better!!

                        Sorry about all the mis-spelling!

                        Cheers,
                        Free2B
