  • Hello

I guess I will introduce myself. I’m a 32 year old mother of three. I’m not new to Atkins. After I had my second child I started Atkins and it worked great. I was back to my old prebaby weight and was feeling very good. Then I got a surprise. Well hello there. Another baby was on its way.

Now my baby is 2 ½ and I have tried everything from Nutrisystem to the crazy soup diet. I don’t know why I didn’t just go back to what I knew would work.

I started back Monday along with a workout program. I would LOVE to drop about 25lbs. As of this morning I am down 3.

Well I look forward to visiting with others here and getting back on the Atkins wagon. I know it works. I’ve lived it before. Now it’s time to do it again.

    Re: Hello

MrsD! I have to tell you that the best teacher my son ever had was called MrsD! But enough about me, welcome to the board! 3 pounds in three days is terrific! You're on your way for sure. LOL, sorry but I never heard of the crazy soup diet!!! Glad you found your way back to Atkins. Best of luck to you.

      Re: Hello

Well hello Sillygirl! Thank you for the warm welcome. LOL, my real name doesn't have a D in it anywhere. I use MrsD because I visit a hunting forum (yes, I enjoy deer hunting) and my screen name there is MrsDeerhunter. Wow, was that just too much info or what?

The crazy soup diet is just that. CRAZY! It's not good and I don't know why I ever got it into my head that it was in any way shape or form good for me. Blah!

        Re: Hello

Welcome! I have 4 kids, 6, 5 and 3 year old twins. After the twins I had gained over 100 pounds...I'm here to make a change. Thank goodness I don't have high BP or diabetes, but losing the weight and getting fit will help me stay away from becoming a canidate for those!
Good luck and keep me posted on how you're doing!

Hello Genva! My kids are all girls. 12yr old, 4 yr old and 2 1/2. Sounds like you have your hands full! I have a cousin who has 4 yr old twin boys! They are a lot of fun. LOL, but then I send them home to her at the end of the day.

Thanks for the kind words and I will try to keep posting on how I'm doing!

                    Re: Hello

MrsD, I think it's cool you're a hunter! There are a few other hunters on the board but i think you're the only woman that I know of!

You can totally "do atkins' as well as you have in the past. You're here, you're posting and you're following the WOE.

                      Re: Hello

Sillygirl, yeah there don't seem to be many of us (women hunters) Even living in Oklahoma where there is a lot of hunting, I still get the odd look from time to time. They think I'm buying a deer tag so my husband will have an extra tag to fill or something. Whatever.

And thanks for the vote of confidence. Today has been a little tough, but I think it’s because it’s day 4, I have had no caffeine and I’m running out of food in my icebox at home. That can be a dangerous thing to do. So I need to make a stop at the grocery store and pick up a few things I can eat.

                      EDIT
