  • Back in the saddle again

hello, i'm new. I started Induction May 4 and stayed in ketosis until June 10, when the cheese tortellini I was fixing my kids got the better of me. One single piece lead to another, then a serving ... you know the rest. Soon, every white flour and/or sugar item in the house was endangered.

Within 2 days I started feeling ILL, and by day 5 of this binge I felt like DEATH. I felt like I had blood poisoning all through my body -- which is how I felt when I originally woke up May 4 and NEW I had to do something and started Atkins.

Soooo ... I got back on the horse this past Friday morning, the 15th, and I'm feeling MUCH better now. Actually, I started feeling better even the evening of the 15th as (I assume) my insulin levels started to drop.

So day 3 today, and feeling pretty good, but a little tired. I'm looking forward to an energy surge in the next day or so, and need it for our five-day family camping trip which starts Tuesday.

I've got 100 pounds to lose ... pray for me, please.

welcome flyladyfan...my sister loves flylady too! it's great that you were able to do such a great job in induction your first time around. good for you for getting back on the wagon, so to speak...i had a cheat and made the decision to do induction again and get rid of the sugar! i seem to have the most difficult time giving up the sugar for good! so, keep coming back...

hi flylady! Woo hoo for starting this wonderful way of eating (WOE)! Sometimes it takes being so disgusted that we know we have to do something. Atkins will certainly help you lose weight, reduce your sugar levels, blood pressure and cholesteral. What's not to love about it?

We do have a diabetes forum that you might want to check out!
