  • Hello - I'm new at this

Hi All! I am on the third day of Induction and I have a few questions. I have tried this WOE after I had my first child (son) and was very successful. Now the years have gone by and I let a few pounds creep up on me slowly that I am desparate to lose. So, I am completely committed. Would like to lose 30 pounds.

My question is about the induction flu. The "flu" hit by about 6:00 PM the first day and by 9, i wanted to die. I took some Aleve and went to bed by 9:30 and woke up feeling fine. I am glad it didn't last long, but I feel like it should have lasted longer. Isn't it supposed to last 2 days or so? I feel like the "flu" is a sign of success. So did I just luck out or did I maybe not do something right.

I have not gotten keto stix yet, but hope to get them tomorrow. I think I have that taste in my mouth though. Will now for sure once I get the sticks. I have lost about 3.5 lbs so far.

Breathe is bad I think, but I've been trying to up the water intake. I'll be looking for smints tomorrow and a travel toothbrush.

Anyway, I've been reading the board and you all are so fantastic. I hope to be here a long, long time...

Hey disco, I have found that Keto Breath is actually good for something. You know those unfamiliar dogs at peoples houses that come up to you and sniff here and there and won't leave you alone? You get the picture. Just blow in their face, they give you the strangest look and run off and leave you alone. It's so cool. lol

Re: Hello - I'm new at this

As far as 'induction flu' I wouldn't neccesarily call it a success (lol). some people are stricken with it, while others, it never touches. It's basically your body adjusting and saying 'hey....what the heck are you doing????' It will pass!

Here are some other threads and links you may find help to get the wheel in motion. The intial step of moving that wheel is all you need, these links will keep to keep building up the momentum!

Hi runwme! Welcome to ADBB! I'm sorry you had the induction flu, glad it passed quickly. Everyone is different in that regard, I've never had it! It sounds like you're in induction even without the sticks! But, the sticks are a good indicator as well.

Congrats on your 3.5 pounds loss!
