  • Hi Everyone - new here

    Hi guys,

I'm Alissa. I'm 5'2" 157lbs and my goal weight is 120 so I've got a way to go. I'm only finishing day one, and my head is killing me! (Also, it happens to be my TOM unfortunately and I always crave sweets and things) I think I am SERIOUSLY addicted to sugar. What's worse is I'm the pickiest eater you will ever come into contact with in your life. I probably could've lived on baked chicken and grilled cheese and baked potatos the rest of my life and been happy.

I don't know about you guys, but just drinking water is killing me. I'm craving something with flavor. How are you guys dealing with this? I'm trying to stay away from aspartame and i found out my fave diet green tea has it so it's a no-no.

Also, I keep kosher so all these cheese ideas/pork rinds for breading aren't gonna work for me. lol - guess I have to figure out how else to season my chicken and burgers.

I really hope I see some results with the WOE (i'm catching onto the lingo).
Hopefully, this didn't sound like I'm complaining too much...sorry to be a downer. Hopefully, I'll get used to this.

Re: Hi Everyone - new here

Ok, so you guys might think I'm crazy considering this is already my second post and I've only been doing this for a little over a day...but I decided to come here because the weirdest thing has happened. It's 3:15 in the morning, and I just woke up craving chocolate! I don't even eat a lot of chocolate in the first place! It's not like I eat candy that often let alone to have such a bad craving that I can't get back to sleep! It's the weirdest thing because I don't remember ever having a strong craving like this for any food before (I don't usually crave anything). I have chocolate pudding that is calling my name, but I decided to try and come post on this website. I really don't want to cave because I don't want this horrible first day to have been a waste. Ha. Sorry if you think I'm nuts.

Welcome to the boards Ohio1984, once yu are right into this diet you will find that it definitely works, it's a kinda strange WOE but it gets the results. I think I may have been on every other diet out there and failed, this time I am succeeding where every othe one did nt work for me.

Keep strong, in a few days you won't be craving anything, in fact you won't even be hungry.

Hi Ohio! Welcome to the board! Kosher cooking may be a really good challenge for you! Season your chicken and burgers with more meat...bacon!

You might want to check into really good veggie side dishes at Lindas Low Carb http://www.genaw.com/lowcarb/index.html you can sure use lots of cheeses with veggies! Faux Mashed Potatoes made with cauliflower are great! You can use parm cheese for breading on veggies too!

Hi there. Welcome to you. I love doing Mediterranean veggies. Pop some peppers, bit of onion, cucumber or courgette etc (make sure within carb limit) into a baking tray. Sprinkle with olive oil, garlic, rock salt - pop into oven or under grill. These are great with any sort of meat, chicken, fish dish.
