  • Hey Im New !!!

    Hey And Let me start and say im So Glad i found this website, i know its goign to help me out alot during my weightloss journey.

    So Where do i start? Well I have been kinda overweight since highschool, i got on this medicine paxil, and i weighed about 190. I think i gained about 40 pounds from that medicine, and ever since then.. i just went up.

    I have done weight Watchers, LA. Weight Loss. And yeah It worked but i always felt like i could not eat anything!!!

    So i picked up the Atkins book the other day and i read through the whole book, and i told myself i was goign to do it!

    I am on Day 5 Right now, but to my suprise by reading this board, i messed up some, i have been eating american cheese! i did not know i couldnt have it.

    The hardest part really is, not being able to drink with my friends when there all going out to the bar, or whatever. And Not being able to Eat Cake foods.

    Hey there Mishy. Welcome to you ... you're in the right place. We should do a poll on how many of us have tried other diets before finding Atkins. It can be a bit weird making the shift from such restrictive diets to the Atkins way of eating. Hang in there. Your sugar cravings will fade away as you stick to induction. I know it can be a bit disheartening to find out you've been eating stuff you shouldn't. But thank heavens for this board - we learn so much from each other. All the best to you.         Hi Mishy, welcome! I made loads of mistakes at first. Only recently I realised that the shredded cheese I was eating had potato starch in it! Nightmare! Best of luck!

              Hi and welcome to ADBB! Congrats on starting on the right path to health!

              You'll be able to have those drinks before too long, just don't be surprised when you don't need as much to get the same effect!

                  Hi..I am new too! Only you have been doing this a few days longer..Lol. Glad to see some new people. Lets keep in touch.. I am only on day 2 and alrady found that I was eating things I shouldn't either...Ugh! Anyway Best of luck! You can do it!
