Hey Everybody
I have been trying to lose weight ever since I can remember and have tried every trick in the book, however being a major comfort eater I tend to undo any good by bingeing on stuff I know I sholdnt have.
When I look back on my dieting history, I think The Atkins diet, which I did in 2002 for awhile, was the only diet I was able to stick with and lose weight on. So, after feeling sorry for myself for awhile I scoured the internet for new info on Atkins and found this forum. Your success and support for one another on this forum has really inspired me to give it another go.
So, far I am on day 2 and feel o-kay, just a bit headachy - must be from sugar withdrawal. I am now just looking forward to the next phase when I can have some peanuts!!
I am originally from New Zealand and am 24 years old, however I have been living in the U.K for the past 5 years with my partner who is a Welshman. I think the fact that I am now extremely homesick and that he often works night shifts has led to a bit of depression and subsequent comfort eating. However we will be selling up and moving back to New Zealand by the end of the year, so all I need to work on is getting a new body for my new life!!!!
