  • If at first you don't succeed, which I didn't, i'll try again!

    Hey all,
Let me reintroduce myself- My name is Chad and I am a 32/m from Michigan. A few months back I started atkins for about a little over a month. I went from 220 to 205, but then I stopped. I am now back to 217 and I desperately need to restart this up again. I am using today, July 5th as my new start date. My wife and I plan on starting a family soon and I want to lose weight so I have energy to keep up with little ones. Have any of you stopped, then started again, but this time succeeded in your goal? I look to you for inspiration.

Welcome, Chad. This board will give you inspiration, and good advice too.

Your goal is very similar to mine. I am also 5'9", started at 222, and have 170 as my goal weight. But thanks to reading this board's success stories, I'm going to reach my goal, and I know you can too.

Thanks everyone for your support. Everything was working out great for me. I wish I would of stuck to it, but for some reason I went off the deep end. I got caught up in Dairy Queen Blizzards, and McDonalds McFlurries, way too often. I started induction today. I'll try to get a current picture of myself up here, albeit an unflattering one. I think if I keep looking at myself in my current state, it will force me to stay on track. I hate feeling like I have bigger boobs than my wife! LOL! Look forward to talking to all of you again. I will make it a point to visit here daily.

-Eno, if its any consolation, I got down to 188 once when I was on Medical Weight Loss Clinic's plan. I know I got down before, so I know I can do it again. This time I am going to lose more! How about we see who can get in the 180's the quickest?

                Hi and welcome, Chad!

I hear ya on those Blizzards! Those are the work of an incredibly evil genius, aren't they?

Your boob remark made me snort with laughter. Sorry, but it was funny.
