  • 1st Post, but 1 Week into Low Carbing

    Hey there everyone!

After watching my best friend go on this diet I was intrigued. He steared me to this site and I've been reading your posts off and on for a couple of weeks. At first this was overwhelming to me. Just thinking about how the heck to eat right while running to swim practice, meets, softball, soccer -- you see my point.

But, after really reading and understanding what this way of eating does for my family and I - there was no way I was not going to do this. I've been on the plan for 8 days now and I've had ups and downs. Some of that unfortunately due to my TOM. But today, I'm realizing that my energy level has not been better.

I want to thank everyone who has posted tips, complaints, solutions and support. You've all helped me make a big life change.

Hi feelingbetterallthetime, your screen name is as long as my work e mail name, LOL! It's 23 letters long too!!!!! Welcome to the board. Too bad you got TOM so soon after starting to eat this way, it would've been nice to be away from the cravings for the visit! However, 8 days and going strong. Your cravings will stop soon, you're well on your way feeling energetic and all! Good luck to you.

LOL!! You may be surprised to to know my last name(s) VERY long too. ha! You're SO right about the cravings, whew! I quit smoking about 3 months ago and the carb cravings were of similar strength as my nicotine cravings. Thanks so much for the motivation to keep going!
