Hola. My name is Beckie. I too have had success on The Atkins Diet in the past as well as my mother and father. I dropped from 209 to about 175 and have fluctuated between 185-190 pretty much since then. I recently had a death in the failiy and what a way to just use that to eat. Emotional Eating I guess. Anyway, I am actually back up to 207 according to a scale in the mall. All this gained in just the past month or so. I can definately feel the gain and the weigh down it is doing to my body. I decided on Friday I AM GOING TO SUCCESSFULLY CHANGE MY LIFESTYLE AND EAT BETTER. So, I just dropped about $75.00 at the local grocer for ALL low card, high protein items that I could possibly use for the week. I thought of things that I could get my "sweet fix" from without carbing it up. I just packed my lunch for tomorrow. I work 2 jobs so once I get up at 6am I am going strong til 10:30pm. So, I borrowed a measuring tape from work and measured myself. I also took pictures but I am still deciding on posting them. Maybe in a month when I can be proud. I feel so determined right now but I know tomorrow at work when everyone else has subs or pizza that I have to step up to the plate and say no. Lol. It is kind of like drugs BUT it feels so good after like the first week of successful induction and then I could do induction for a month alomst. Amyway, my beginning measurements are:Neck 14 inches
Upper Right Arm 13.5 inches
Upper Left Arm 13 inches
Just above belly button 42 inches
Just below belly button 44 inches
Buttox (upper thigh area) 46.5 inches
Just below bust 40.5 inches
Upper Right and Left thighs 26.5 inches
I have never measured myself before so I just used my common sense to measure. I cannot say it's perfect but it should be with .5 inch
I'm feeling good!!!







Yippie. Anyhow, that hasn't kept my motivation down at all though I wish I could post everyday. So, almost a complete 2 weeks into it. I'm loving it. I still feel very highly motivated and am trucking away. I have deiced to extend my induction period for another 2 weeks. I am happy I measured myself before I started. I am someone who needs to see results whether it be on the scale or in inches. From doing Atkins before I know that a lot of times I lost inches but not necessarily pounds so that's why I measured. Needless to say I broke down and weihed myself yesterday and stand at a hefty 197lbs!!!!! 10 pounds thus far and going strong. I really didn't want to weigh myself til the end of the second week but I JUST COULDN'T STAND IT ANYMORE...I HAD TO KNOW...lol. So, my 25th birthday is Sept. 2 and I plan to be a new person by then. Not planning on being at my goal weight by then but dang close.
