Hello everyone!
I'm new to this board, but I'm not new to the low-carb lifestyle. I started Atkins in June, 2004. From that time to June, 2006 I lost a total of 112 lbs. toward my goal of losing 160 lbs. We moved from Missouri to Texas in July, 2006 and I continued the low-carb lifestyle but focused more on maintenance than continued weight-loss. I'm ready to lose the remaining 50 or so lbs. that I need to lose, so I decided to join this board to help me move forward.
Being able to maintain for a whole year has been a great accomplishment for me, so I'm very encouraged that I can keep this weight off for good. I've been a regular exerciser for the last 3 years. A couple of weeks ago, I decided to start a program to get into running with a goal to run my first 5K on October 6.
I'm 51, a wife and mother to two daughters (ages 7 and 11) and a full-time CPA.
I'm looking forward to getting to know all of you better!
