  • My Intro

    Greetings,

    I was doing some research on diets and weight loss and I ran into this site. It looks like it has a great community, so I thought I’d join. Well, I’m 25 male, 5’10”, and weight 230LBS as of this morning (ouch!!). I used to be in good shape and active, but since I left the military seven months ago I’ve pack on like 56LBS, and average of 8LBS a month. Yea’ I got too comfy at home. I’m getting alarmed about the whole ordeal and want to do something about it. I heard about Atkins before from co-workers and relatives. I’ve seen the results and from here the photo galleries, it looks good. This seems to be a fairly easy diet program. I guess I’ll find out. . .

      welcome to the board. im prior service myself. i gained about 80 lbs when i left the army. atkins does work. heck im even at a lower weight than my army weight. just be patient with yourself and you will do well.

        Hi Namek! I see you got your access to the board, so here's a big welcome to you! Interesting about weight gain in the military, I just read an article about it in the Los Angeles Times this week! And they're doing nothing to improve the quality of foods available to you guys.

        It's a great thing that you've come here! You WILL find out how easy eating this way is. You can have lots of food, eat when you're hungry and stay satisfied too! When you follow the program properly, bump yourself up the food rungs, you will be a thinner person eating from every food group in no time! Only from now on, you'll be eating healthy foods.           Welcome!! If you stick with the program the fat will melt off soo quickly you'll be shocked! You will do fine, just stick with it! God Bless
