  • Dymonds checking in for the first time

    Hi everyone

I started Atkins on 23rd July which is 3 weeks tomorrow.

My starting weight was 247lbs and after 2 weeks of induction I'm now 239lbs. I'm due to weigh myself again tomorrow as I'm only doing it once a week so as not to get obsessed with the scales .

Although I'm just coming up for 3 weeks of being on Atkins I'm sticking with induction for a while longer yet as I have quite a few pounds to lose.

Well I look forward to continuing to read all the helpful posts in here .

Hey Dy! Wow, you are doing superbly so far! There's nothing wrong with extended induction, but just don't stay at that level too long!

Very impressive with the non obsessing weighing! That in itself is really, really great!

Welcome aboard, Dymonds! You are doing fabulously well! How do you feel?

You should measure yourself and keep track of those numbers every 2 weeks as well as what the scale says - you'll be stunned at how many inches you will lose, no matter how many pounds.

Stay on Induction as long as you want. I've done this woe twice and never started OWL. However, this time, I am. I'm going to do Induction from July 28 to August 28, and then start OWL and stay on the veggie rung for at least a month.

I think that one reason I fell off the wagon both times before was that I stayed on induction too long. I really wanted dairy.........

Anyway, keep up the good work, and I hope you feel as good as your scale says!
        Start date: 7/29/2007

        Scale: SW:235 CW:193
        GW:150

Tape Measure: I've lost 42.5 inches as of 3/15/2008

        Mini goals:
        215 - met 9/10/07
        205 - met 10/17/07
        195 - met 2/20/08
        180

        I survived a two-month stall!

Thanks for the warm welcome! Thanks for the advice too.

I've not decided how long to stay on induction for but it won't be a LONG time.

I have measured myself too the night before I started induction. Well my husband measured me (we're doing this together which I think is a bigger help). We measured again after the first 2 weeks and yes; what a difference already!

As for the way I feel. Now the craving have gone I feel great! No more crashes through the day and I'm sleeping like a baby...lol. No cheats either, not like the 'other' diets .

          Thanks again!
