  • Another Intro!

Hi every one, I'm new here, and just thought I'd introduce myself. I have about three stone to lose, and started induction yesterday. I've tried several weight loss plans before, and have even reached goal weight, but have always ended right where I started, with even more weight on, usually by binging on carbs. So I figured that this might be one diet where I might suceed!!
I've decided to join the forum after reading through some of the threads, and seeing how friendly and supportive everyone was.
I must admit I still have some doubts about this diet, after following low-fat weight-loss plans previously, (they worked, but I always fall of the wagon.. )but am willing to give it a good try.

    Thanks for reading,

    Boodler

British? just with the "stone" talk

as long as you are willing to try it you will be convinced!!

Do you have DANDR? the atkins handbook? you may want to invest in that!!

Best of luck on your journey!

Welcome! As a recovering low-fat dieter I can tell you that following the Atkins way of eating will seem soooo strange for a while. But the weight *will* come off. You'll be able to eat more than you ever have on any *diet*, and you will be so pleased with how you *feel*!!!

Good luck, and don't forget to post your progress!

Thanks for all the supportive comments today guys, really appreciate it!!
But second day, and I slipped ...went to the pub. Ok did not drink beer, and I really LOVE beer...(I'm Irish) so anyway, drank gin and tonic, instead...but they didn't have any slimline tonics, so drank the bad tonic the sugary stuff..... will this set me back??? How far??

You're only on day two so there's nothing to set you back to! Just restart 100% tomorrow. You gotta stay away from the beer/alcohol for a while! At least until you get to the alcohol rung of the food ladder.Maybe stay away from a pub for a day or two as well, that might trigger it again! The Irish make nice cheese and butter too!

                        EDIT
