  • trying a clean induction

ok last year I lost weight on a almost clean induction (I was on it for about 2 months). I did eat a sugar free jello every day, which didnt seem to stall me at all and I also had 1 diet mountain dew a day...I went from 240 pounds to 175 but then of course once I got there, I started to cheat a bit. It actually took a lot of cheating over a period of months to gain any weight back. Anyway, I want to get down to around 165 pounds and I want to follow a clean induction which means no soda or jello...I tried to do it a couple of days ago with just water and I had a hard time dealing with no caffeine...I'm going to start this on Monday so wish me luck!

I know whatcha mean about soda, I was drinking a 12 pack of cherry coke a day, and I still miss it, but it gets easier everyday. The first few days are the hardest tho. Just stick to it and be strong and you can do it.

Welcome Jim! Nice that you've decided to post here at ADBB.
I'll wish you luck on your Monday start, but honestly you don't need luck. All you need is a little determination the first few days...after that, it's easy-peasy! But you know that already, having had great success on Atkins last year. You did it then, and you can do it again!

You might like to check out the Second Time Aruound Club (STAC). Awesome support to be had there from others who have "come back for seconds".

        Happy Atkineering!

Thanks a lot to everyone for the encouraging words! I know the first few days are going to be tough but i think i'll be able to make it....The lack of a carbonated beverage is really hard for me...

Hey Jim! Welcome. A clean induction is the way to go! It's always better to eat whole, fresh foods than chemicals that are in both the jello and the soda! As you go along, there's legal treats you can have to satisfy a sweet tooth!

So todays the day. How's it going so far?

Did you see there's going to be a meeting of ADBB people in the NJ/PA area?
